Our Listing 418 N Robson — Mesa, AZ 85201

Welcome to the Evergreen Historic District! Beneath the canopy of lush and mature foliage, this finely remodeled 1947 Early Ranch style home peacefully awaits. Remodeled and added onto with strict attention to detail but careful enough to not lose the original charm that evokes feelings of nostalgia. It’s important that the front windows were kept as original and that they are framed in wood which was a luxury after the war.

This perfectly staged beauty features a drive-through carport which was an invention of Frank Lloyd Wright. The original home was only a 900 square foot 2 bedroom / 1 bath. It has since been added onto and features a large master bedroom with walk-in closet and private bath. There is a huge inside laundry room, a half bath, an office, and a spacious great room that is perfect for a large family, dining space and the baby grand! It’s an entertainers dream with french doors leading to the extended covered patio and enormous side yard. Imagine the family bbq’s and baseball games!

All this and more wrapped up in cozy, historic Mesa. This is the neighborhood where the neighbors know each other by first name and all the children and grandchildren come to visit on the holidays. The location is convenient and mere minutes from historic Downtown Mesa. Downtown Mesa is the home of the world renowned Mesa Arts Center, the historical museum, and many highly recommended and award winning restaurants including Worth Takeaway, the original Blue Adobe and Queens Pizzeria. There is quite a vibe within the neighborhood and Mesa’s historic Downtown area that includes the arts, music and family friendly events. Welcome to the perfect place to create memories that will never be forgotten.

Eggs in the New Kitchen!

We went to check out the progress on the models yesterday. It was so much fun to see the progress and they are looking like actual homes now. It’s so cool to see a neighborhood from the very start.

We stopped by our lot for a photo op and Munch made us some eggs in the new kitchen (for pretend of course)! Then she went to hang in the neighbors house for a bit! HAHA. I don’t know how they will feel in 9 months about her just walking right in. Hopefully they will be cool!

After a birthday party this weekend we stopped by our same builder to check out what the standard features look like and OMG. We’re so excited not to have to spend an arm and a leg on upgrades on top of the base price. And that blue door!!! So excited!

We should be signing the new build purchase contract in about a week! I will update with how that goes. A lot of people sign on new builds with no agent to represent them. Think about it though. The sales person there works for the builder and is looking out for their interests. It’s a really good idea to have someone who knows the contract and can negotiate and advocate for you on your side!

Mesa Historic Home For Sale: 146 W. 7Th Pl., Mesa, AZ 85201

Welcome to the Evergreen Historic District. The wide, tree-lined streets, the gathering of an eclectic variety of home styles, and the quaint, tight knit community of neighbors complete the feel of times passed while incorporating the convenience and amenities that a modern family requires. This 1950 Ranch style home, built by Lester Kuck, is not a common style for this area. J.G. and Doria Allen, a co-owner of Styles and Allen Contractors, were the first owners of this wood board and batten siding mixed with painted concrete masonry units.

The steel single-hung windows and sprawling front facade with low pitch gable roof are characteristics of the ranch style. Historic glass still exists however 2 of the windows were replaced with triple pane. This home has been recently remodeled from floor to ceiling with careful attention to preserving the unique details that make it like no other with tons of historic charm, built-ins and custom touches throughout.

Crisp white plantation shutters with matching crown molding, exposed brick fireplace, and wood flooring are beautifully accompanied by bright white wainscotting, the perfect shade of neutral custom paint and accent wall panels.

Gourmet kitchen boasts gas cook stove, granite counters, bright white cabinets and subway tiles. Stainless appliances and indoor laundry are definitely an added bonus.

The family room is comfortable and spacious! The wood accented ceiling, accent wall panels and beautiful historic glass windows make this room so warm and inviting.

The large master bathroom with double sinks and huge walk in shower with glass surround is a dream! The framed mirror and perfectly laid tile perfect the look.

The bonus room, formerly a covered patio, is fully permitted and was just recently enclosed and finished. Gorgeous built-in bookcases and desks make it a great place to work from home or a homework/media nook for the kids. Tons of natural light pours into the bonus room from the double french doors that open to the extended covered patio.

This little piece of historic paradise sits on an oversized lot with access to city irrigation. The options are endless from large family gatherings to baseball games with the kids on a lot of this size. Enjoy the coming and going of the seasons under the canopy of majestic, mature citrus trees. There is even a pomegranate tree! The vibrant green grass is the perfect back drop to the rose bushes that have been there for decades. This tight knit community feel lends itself beautifully to holiday celebrations such as Halloween and the Christmas season. More than 600 children visit Evergreen during Halloween and the streets are lined with lights and decorations immediately following Thanksgiving to welcome the coming Christmas season. Welcome home!

Huge outdoor storage area under roof and behind bonus room. AC units were replaced in 2013 and 2016.

Chandelier in the formal living room (front room entrance) does not convey.
