The origin of this spanish-style, energy efficient home dates back to 1880 when the first structure, just the living room and kitchen, was built. It wasn’t until 1915 that the house was completed. Back in 1915, Woodrow Wilson was president, the Ford Model T was only a few years old, the population of Mesa, AZ was under 3,000 and 1st Avenue was a dirt road.
